Haha, that's a really good idea. I like the used colors and the used look.
Also the character is really great - I really like how he looks.

But also some comments for improvements - ordered from minor to major ...

I think the hair below the ear isn't needed. Try a version without that small black stripe - I think it would look a little better. But that's real minor. Great character!

The white bites/clouds/whatever are not well chosen for this artwork. The 'monster' would need some teeth to have a connection. I really like how you hit the perspective for the eyes of your 'monster'. Well done <img src="e.deviantart.com/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" />

Rounded corners always look nice, but should in my opinion only used for the media that represents an artwork. You see it here on dA, the layout use rounded corners, but most artwork doesn't. Also you loose the usability, your picture is fixed to white background - otherwise the rounded corners and the above mentionen bites won't work the way you expected.
